My Shpiel
Moms notoriously have a lot on their plate. As if keeping humans alive wasn’t enough pressure, we have work to do, relationships to maintain, homes to keep up with and the tremendous stress we put on ourselves to look amazing and put-together while we juggle it all.
I’m not an expert at life, but I’ve experienced burn-out, an eating disorder, anxiety and depression. Through mindfulness, a regular yoga practice and a shit ton of therapy, I found (and continue to find) more ease in every day.
It is possible to be the parent you want to be while also being the woman you’re meant to be. My goal with this blog is to help busy moms find peace in mind and body by sharing my yoga practice and experiences as a mom and woman who’s trying to live a mindful, healthy-ish lifestyle.
ABOUT ME
I’m a yoga teacher (E-RYT 200).
We named our son Memphis while living in Kansas City. Now we live in Memphis. Life is weird.
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I was a copywriter at an advertising agency. I still do some freelance work.
I was never much of an athlete. I used to be into running but walking is more my jam now. I also love yoga (obviously) and strength training.
