[12 Mindful Days] Day 6: Talk to the Salesperson

Since it's the second to last Saturday before Christmas, it's likely that you're shopping today. Or at some point today or tomorrow, you'll buy something. Even if it's just groceries. 

When you're checking out at the store, do you really pay attention to the sales clerk? Or are you playing on your phone or watching your tab add up? 

Today's challenge is to be present at the checkout counter. Look at the salesperson helping you ... IN THE EYEBALLS. Smile at them. Ask them how they're doing. Take the time to interact with them above and beyond the casual "Thanks" you recite without thought.
